In the {{Manual Windowcaption|Group Handling}} section, there are two values that influence the effect behavior on the associated {{Manual Windowcaption|Device Group}}:

== Group Size ==
In addition to the different modes, there is a setting that determines how many devices <code>n</code> within a device group or manual selection in the Stage View should be treated as one device. This dynamically groups several devices within a device group, and the group size can be changed at any time through the "Group Size" value. This value operates on the same principle across all modes.

The following example shows the effect of the group size value on an alternating fanning <code>0; 128; 255 # 255; 128; 0 # 255; 255; 255</code> on the color property. The mode for {{Manual Windowcaption|Group Handling}} remains at the default value {{Manual Fields|Group Connect (Contact groups)}} in all three cases.
