The Group Master are automatically created by adding a Device Group by default. The Group Masters control the intensity of the assigned devices. The same restriction applies as with the Grand Master: devices with a shutter cannot have their brightness adjusted.
Behavior in the Context of Scenes, etc.
The following table shows what output is expected on a device when the Group Master is selected in various ways and when the function value, such as the value for the dimmer, is set to different values.

Working with Nested Masters
It is allowed to assign devices to multiple Device Groups. This is particularly useful in larger lighting setups with many devices, as it makes programming various effects easier. If a device is assigned to a second device group, the intensity value stored in the scene (Cue) is multiplied by the set values of all the relevant group masters. This can look like the following:

style="width: 200px;" colspan="2" | Group Master
style="width: 100px;" rowspan="2" | Function Value
style="width: 100px;" rowspan="2" | Output
Group 1 || Group 2
0 % || 0 % || 100 % || 0 %
100 % || 20 % || 100 % || 20 %
50 % || 50 % || 100 % || 25 %
100 % || 50 % || 50 % || 25 %
0 % || 100 % || 100 % || 0 %

Because of this behavior, it might sometimes be useful to specifically deactivate group masters. This not only improves project clarity but also reduces a potential source of errors if devices output nothing.

Deactivating and Activating Group Masters
Unnecessary group masters can be deactivated in the settings (Properties) of the respective Device Group or reactivated if needed. When a group master is deactivated, it is automatically set to maximum brightness. If the group master is activated or deactivated for a device group, it can be viewed in the corresponding column Group Master under the branch Device Groups.

Settings
Group Masters themselves do not have any settings that can be specifically changed. They inherit all their settings from the associated device group. This means that, for example, if a different name is needed for the group master, the name of the associated device group must be changed. The same applies to the number of the group master.

External Control
The Group Master can be controlled via the Input Assignment and returns corresponding values. There are the following nodes, which can be linked with the corresponding inputs and outputs:
*Group Master
