DMXControl 3 lessons

Overview

In order to control your lamps you need to send out "real" DMX signals to your universes. In this lesson we explain how to configure your output devices.

Lecture 6: Configuring the output plugins

In the menue "windows" you can find the panel "output devices". There you can select your DMX transmitter/sender by setting the hook.

Hint: in the current beta version only the DMX Interface from "Digital Enlightenment" is supported. But this is no blocking point for testing the software, if you are an owner of a different interface. On one hand the software also works without DMX-Interface, on the other hand you can use the Artnet-Interface to connect to a light control software supporting your interface, e.g. DMXControl 2.11.

In the settings menu another dialog for interface configuration is included:

Here you can make fine tuning and configuration setting that are supported by your DMX transmitter. In the shown case you can modify e.g. break time if the DMX receiver in one of your lamps requires a greater value.

  • other supported interfaces
  • how to load an external interface (where to place the dll etc.)

Excercise
