Overview

The time code player resembles the audio player in function and graphic surface. One can start cues, chasers and commands with this tool in temporal dependence of a time code.

Description

The time code player is conceived for special applications with time code, such as multimedia shows, videos or firework synchronization, sooner. It is aim to trigger cues and chasers to the time code of an external device synchronously. The time code signal is caused by an external master and about the MIDI into port (as a MTC signal) connected. You can therefore assign individual commands to certain external time signals. The time code can be played in of suitable MIDI keyboards or of MIDI sequencers like logic or Cubase. In this case the DMXControl cues or chaser consequence will always synchronously go off for the feigned music title. For the connection of the MIDI Sequencer the software MidiOx offers its services.

Definition

SMPTE is used one for the synchronization of digital and analogous audio components typically (by the way audible signal) on an analogous side. MIDI Sequencer make use, of the MIDI time code (MTC) which can be translated in a SMPTE time code and turned around. With the help of corresponding equipment (Synchronizer) an analogous SMPTE signal can be generated from the digital MTC and recorded in form of an audio signal on a trace of a (logical) multi trace ribbon machine. SMPTE can therefore do a time sensitive light show used based on an audio or video signal be also as trigger for a time. SMPTE time codes can be recorded with a precision of 1/1000 of a second.

Settings

  • « MIDI-In port »: You choose the MIDI entrance here over which the MTC signal is played in.
  • « Permissible offset area »: Precision limit at movings in the synchronization. The delay accepted at most is indicated here. If a greater tracking arises from a high exploitation of the DMXControl PC, the effects are ignored.

Sequenz

To load a sequence, one proceeds as in the case of the audio player:

  • With the button « manage » one establishes a new sequence.
  • With the button « add » can you change a step of the sequence. This must be marked to this.
  • With the button « edit » can you change a step of the sequence. This must be marked to this.
  • With the button « delete » is the selected command deleted.
  • One can change the times of an order about the corresponding time attitude in the list.
  • With the checking box & laquo; Active & raquo; the blender hires you, whether DMX signals shall be sent to at all.

Tip(s)

  • If one turns the hooklets off with the order names, the corresponding order is deactivated, however, remains in the sequence definition. One can use this in the construction phase to test the interaction of single effects until one has found the right combination.
