The Cue Timing Editor becomes a useful tool whenever you want to output a more complex sequence of lighting moods in a Cuelist and the fading in of different functions for various devices and device groups, for example, depends on one another. To keep the associated cues simple while being able to view the entire result, you can use the Cue Timing Editor to define specific fade-in and delay times for certain functions — within a single cue. This way, you need significantly fewer cues to build up even complex lighting moods step by step.

Overview

The Cue Timing Editor is an extension of the global offset/delay (Delay) and fade time of every Cue. When you use this feature in DMXControl 3, these global values are overridden when you set individual fade-in or delay times for certain functions. You can not only set simple values that differ from the global times but also use the Fanning Operators at any point. To enter the corresponding values, you will receive a window with a matrix of all devices and device groups whose functions are stored in the respective cue.

Key Features

As soon as a value is entered in a cell in the Cue Timing Editor, this overrides the fade time and delay values for the entire cue. This also means that even a value of 0ms counts as a value and activates the cue timing configuration for this device function.

Usage

The Cue Timing Editor can be opened either by double-clicking the header of the row of a cue, through the context menu, or by clicking « Edit »⇒ « Cue Timing Editor » in the menu bar for the currently selected cue.

In the new window, the table displays the device functions addressed by the cue in the columns and the Devices or Device Groups in the rows, for which the respective device functions are applied. Switching between delay time and fade time is done via the dropdown menu.
